The official highlight of this day trip is the boat which is a wooden yacht called Nereid (= a sea nymph) straight out of the Onedin Line, which ages me. The real star is the spectacular views of Mount Pelion and the other mountains that ring the Pagasitic Gulf.
This trip is a great way to see a corner of Greece that is not as well known as some. The routine after sailing out from a small town is a swimming stop with a good picnic lunch plus a visit to a small island called Trickery (well Trikeri) where there is a big monestry in an olive grove.
Just sailing along admiring the scenery and snoozing was the best bit.
